The One and Only

Coconut Grove is that rare Thoroughbred Grand Prix jumper stallion that has all of the necessary attributes for a quality sire. With an exceptional International show record, a proven performance pedigree and quality conformation, he brings the best of what an outstanding thoroughbred can offer to a breeding program. These qualities make him an excellent choice to produce jumpers and event horses.

Coconut Grove is exquisite, with a beautiful head and neck. He has a long-lined, medium build and is very correct in his conformation and legs. He is known to improve leg conformation in his offspring. He has a very good temperament with an honest, kind character and a “try hard” thoroughbred heart. His offspring are smart, easy to train and have a good work ethic, making them capable of being ridden by amateurs. They tend to be quick and tight with their front ends, with good kick from behind, like their sire.

Often described as “amazing” in editorial columns, Coconut Grove is agile, extremely careful, has abundant scope and an exceptional jumping technique. He is an outstanding performer with a pedigree proven to produce jump. The ability to produce jump is not accidental and Coconut Grove has strong lineage based in athleticism. He descends from the Bold Ruler / Damascus cross.  This cross reversed, produced the Internationally successful Thoroughbred jumper sire, Napur, a Grand Prix winner and Best American Horse at the 1987 World Cup. Coconut Grove’s half sister Satra, was a member of the winning National Show Jumping Team for Colombia.

Coconut Grove is the first Thoroughbred stallion in U.S. history to be granted a breeding license by the Holsteiner Horse Association in 2003 and the American Hanoverian Society in 2004. In 2005, he was chosen for the highly selective Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program. Initially, only 17 stallions in the U.S. were chosen for this program. Coconut Grove has 100% positive approval status with 9 European, 9 U.S. and 1 Canadian Registry. Coconut Grove is the ONLY thoroughbred in U.S. history to accomplish this feat.
